Our goal in missions is to fulfil the Great Commission of our Lord: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matt 28:19-20). We have planted churches and supported/partnered pastors of existing churches in countries such as Nepal, India, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Many of these churches have acquired the ability to not just support themselves but also to reach out to their respective communities. We have released such churches to walk into the plans that the Lord has designed for them.
The following are our on-going missions support and initiatives:
We make monthly financial contributions to the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (ACTS College) for training leaders for effective ministry as pastors, missionaries, church-workers, and marketplace-leaders.
We provide short term support (through counselling and financially) to disadvantaged individuals and families through our local outreach arm, Community Concern Services (CCS).
Our Thailand mission consists mainly of providing support for the children at Praise Home, a home for orphans and underprivileged children that we built in Baan Bueng. The children are progressing well both in their spiritual growth and in their academic endeavors in the local schools. They are given opportunities to serve in various capacities in the local church.
We are partnering a local pastor in the northern region of Myanmar, Kalaymyo in supporting children in an orphanage. We also support students and teachers of Emmanuel Theological Seminary.
We are in contact with two Singaporean missionaries who are working in China. Our plan is to make exploratory trips with these missionaries to determine what God is saying to Church of Praise about China missions.
