How to Read The Bible
The Christian should approach each day’s reading as follows:
PRAY before reading, asking God’s help in understanding His Word
READ carefully the day’s Scripture passages
MEDITATE upon the passages. Ask
- a. What is the main point of each passage?
- b. What does each passage say to me about God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit?
- c. What personal insights are revealed through the passage?
d. What actions must I take in obedience to God’s revelation?
PRAY again. Thank God for His goodness. Confess your sins. Pray for others. Praise and worship the Lord.
GO FORTH to serve Him joyfully.
Have a blessed time with God’s Word.
