Prayer for Renewing of the Mind
Romans 12:1-2 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (NIV)
“Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you would show me the areas of my thinking that are hindering your good and perfect plans for my life. As Holy Spirit shows me the areas, I repent for these wrong thinking, unbelief and lack of trust in you. I am truly sorry that these wrong thinking have cause me much grieve by obstructing your plans for me. I repent from all of my negative thoughts, wrong beliefs and self-confessions that have been responsible for affecting my situations negatively. Please break these wrong thinking, attitudes, thought patterns, habits and beliefs that are from you. Help me to trust you. I bind my mind to the mind of Christ. I ask that you teach me new concepts and strategies to change my life and bring about change in all areas of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
