As we countdown to our move from Carepoint to Nexus, we need to be ready for the Lord's use by continually being sanctified by the Lord's power. The work of sanctification has always been mysterious to Christians. We are both attracted yet have a fear of it. Attracted because we are touched by the greatness of God's love despite who we are; afraid because we are plagued by fears of our sinful weaknesses.

Some of us are continually living in defeat, discouraged by the inability to rise above surrounding temptations. Others have given up pursuing passionately after God's heart, contented with mediocre standards of sanctification.

However, the Word of God calls us to look to Jesus for the power to be continually transformed into Christlikeness, so as to be effective ambassadors in this world. If you are defeated and discouraged, don't look for help elsewhere. Look to Jesus for He is the way! Jesus has already paid for your victory for holy and acceptable living through His death on the cross. How do we look to Jesus? By the discipline of reading the Word, meditating on the Word and being transformed by the Word.

God has already spoken that He will move mightily among us to bring people to Himself. However, we must never forget that He will work through us. We can be effectively used by Him only as we allow His power to transform us to live holy and sanctified lives.

Friends, do not be discouraged by setbacks in your life. Instead, believe that God's divine power has already given you everything you need for a godly life in Him (2 Peter 1:3). His power will also give you hope and strength to find victory in your spiritual journey in the world.
